Good Grief: Theatre Performance
Upon the insistence of her closest friends, a woman visits a therapist for the first time. She’s there to deal with her grief from losing her father 15 months earlier – a father she’s been estranged from for nearly a decade.
She is tortured by a painful knot of love, hate, guilt, anger, betrayal and grief.
Her journey of healing begins in the therapist’s office…

Remesh Panicker is an award-winning documentary & TV executive producer,
creative consultant, writer, script doctor, speech coach, stage & film actor. For 50 years, he’s been a much sought-after professional narrator and voice talent on Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, CNA, the History Channel, the Bio Channel and some 800 hours of commercials and corporate films.
He’s also been a theatre practitioner for as long, with many critically acclaimed credits to his name. He wears varied theatrical hats - creating, writing, producing and performing in productions ranging from broad comedy to Shakespeare, dance to the spoken word.
He has breathed life into wide-ranging characters - from God to the Devil, and all manner of mortal in-between - on stages in Singapore, and at international and regional festivals in
Belgium, the Philippines and Taiwan, picking up several acting awards along the way.
His last production was the Singapore International Arts Festival 2025 dance extravaganza COLONY, which he co-created and artistic directed.
He has long had an interest in the theme of this festival, having served as creative consultant for the Lien Foundation’s Life Before Death campaign, promoting the concepts of palliative care and dying well almost a decade ago.
Oon Shu An is a multi-faceted actress, host and writer known for her dynamic presence across theatre, film and television. She is an Associate Artist with Checkpoint Theatre and a Board Member of socially engaged theatre company Drama Box. Her sell-out one-woman show with Checkpoint Theatre, the cross-media production #UnicornMoment, was nominated for Best Original Script at the Life! Theatre Awards. She has also earned Best Actress nominations for roles in Pangdemonium’s Chinglish, This Is What Happens to Pretty Girls, Esplanade’s Mergers and Accusations, and SRT’s Lungs.
On TV, she appeared in Netflix’s cult favourite Marco Polo, Code of Law, and HOOQ’s How to be a Good Girl, for which she won the National Award for Best Actress and represented Singapore at the inaugural Asian Academy Creative Awards. Her feature film credits include The Sandbox, Rubbers, 4Love, and Republic of Food.
Recently, she starred in God of Carnage, The Christians, MONSTRESS, Grounded, and The Last Bout. She was also the host of S10 Renovaid and CNA’s On the Red Dot: Museum of U and Me.
She is committed to social justice and advocacy through critical storytelling, supporting mental health awareness, gender equality, and the rights of marginalised communities.
